Are you a lawyer with 1-2 years’ post-admission experience and a genuine interest in succession law, wealth transfer, tax, trusts, superannuation and structuring? We’re on the lookout for a driven and detail-oriented junior lawyer to join our wealth advisory team at businessDEPOT legal.
Our team works closely with individuals, families, and business owners to help them navigate complex legal structures and plan for the future. This role is perfect for someone who’s ready to build on their foundations and take the next step in developing specialist expertise in a supportive and multidisciplinary environment.
key responsibilities
- Drafting estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and SMSF-related documentation.
- Assisting with the establishment and maintenance of companies, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds.
- Working closely with our lawyers and advisors to deliver holistic, practical legal advice.
- Preparing legal materials and supporting the delivery of presentations and client-facing education.
- Managing your tasks and timelines with growing independence.
- Building strong relationships with clients and helping them feel supported throughout the process.
you’ll thrive in this role if you…
- Have 1–2 years’ post-admission experience in succession law, estate planning, structuring, tax, or super [or a keen interest in developing these expertise].
- Are admitted [or eligible for admission] as a solicitor in Queensland.
- Are proactive, curious, and like to dig into the “why” behind legal structures.
- Enjoy working in a smaller firm environment where your input matters and collaboration is key.
- Are comfortable working across multiple matters and can prioritise tasks.
- Have experience with Actionstep and NetDocuments [a bonus, not a dealbreaker].
