There are introverts and extroverts and guess where I fit? Nope, you’re thinking wrong! Although it may not seem like it on camera, believe it or not, I am an introvert and for years, it has been a struggle on my part to be in networking events if I actually decide to go. The interaction with real-life human beings, face-to-face, can be quite exhausting for me.

An extrovert, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. They actually live and feed on engagement and they just enjoy company, conversations, a room full of people. You might be asking, “Since Jacob is an introvert, is he the right person to talk about how I can make the most of networking?” Well, I’m here to tell you that although I may choose to stay at the office or at home over being in a networking event, I believe in the benefits of attending them. So yes, I am and here’s where you really need to listen.

Watch this week’s Blackboard Fridays [ episode 122nd – quite a milestone, thanks to my team! ] and let’s talk about why you need to go to that next networking event and how you can make the most of being there – build your network, deepen connections, meet an ideal client, bump into a great marketer or stumble upon a bright idea in conversations with other professionals – things your business can really use right now or in the future.

PS. Since we’re talking about events, check out the businessDEPOT events. Who knows? Our next event could be where your potential clients or exciting, new opportunities are.
