To help drive the economy, secure jobs and support industry through COVID-19, the South Australian Government’s stimulus package will inject a total of $1 billion into our economy.
This second economic stimulus package of $1 billion is inclusive of the $350 million package first announced by the government.
The stimulus package aims to safeguard South Australia’s economy and minimise the economic impacts of the COVID-19 global crisis.
The Jobs Rescue Package includes the establishment of two new funds:
- $300m Business and Jobs Support Fund
- $250m Community and Jobs Support Fund.
As part of the Jobs Rescue Package, the Government is also providing the following support for businesses and households:
- Payroll tax relief
- Land tax package
- Job accelerator grants
- Liquor licensing fees
- Cost of living concession
